Events and Temporary Enterprise Uses in the Park

How would you make use of a spectacular new public space in the heart of a growing community and easily accessible from anywhere in London?

From July 2013, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will become one of London’s foremost public attractions, boasting a wide variety of venues and spaces for Events and Temporary Enterprise Uses.

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will offer over 250 acres of beautifully landscaped open space and 6.5 km of waterways. As a living legacy of the London 2012 Games, it will transform this area of east London into one of the capital’s most vibrant hotspots, hosting around 2,000 events each year. The events and temporary uses will establish the Park as a ‘must see, must return’ destination for local residents, those working in the area and visitors alike.

Events

All kinds of indoor and outdoor events will be possible, from product launches, cinema screenings and waterside activities, to large-scale public entertainments, cultural fairs and outdoor exhibitions. There will be a wide-range of indoor and outdoors venues and spaces available for interested parties and events organisers to choose from.

Temporary Enterprise Uses

There will be vacant spaces within the Park available for temporary enterprises such as artists’ workshops, pop-up restaurants, micro-breweries and street markets. Some will be available for 6 months, with others available for up to 15 years – the possibilities are endless.
