Live, Work and Play

The Olympic Park will be an exciting new part of life for the people and communities in and around the Lower Lee Valley. It will also be a place where people from far and wide may want to live, work or visit again and again.

We're listening to local people and working closely with a whole range of community organisations. We want to make sure every aspect of the Park's long term development makes a positive contribution to the area - and makes the best of what's already there.

In the years to come, the Park will bring many real and lasting benefits: family homes, affordable homes, schools, jobs, health centres, better transport links, world-class sports and recreation facilities and acres of beautiful parkland.

Everything from new streets and place names to the types of housing and bus services is being carefully planned and considered with the community in mind, so everyone can benefit long after 2012. We know this will take time, but our aim is to create great new places, spaces and opportunities to live, work and play for generations to come.
