Thank you for visiting the ‘Your Park, Your Place’ neighbourhood naming competition page.
The competition has now closed and the names for the five new neighbourhoods have been chosen.
Thank you to everyone who took part and submitted an entry to name one of the five future neighbourhoods that will be developed on the Park after the 2012 Games.
We had a fantastic response with almost 2,000 people entering the ‘Your Park, Your Place’ competition with entrants suggesting a wide range of names for the five new areas.
Suggestions were based on the future vision for each of the neighbourhoods, what will happen in the area during the 2012 Games and the history of the area and how it developed over time, with this website providing a guide to each neighbourhood,
including a historical tour, which helped give a feel for the areas.
